Earth-Friendly Promise

We started Penny Candle Co. with the intention with being as earth-friendly as possible and by working to get the majority of our items from companies located in the United States of America. Both of these things are important to us and we thought if we were going to start a business, the business should reflect our values.

Our candles are made with:

100% grown in the USA soy wax.

Lead and zinc-free cotton wicks.

High-quality fragrance oils.

Glass jars that are Made in the USA and that can be recycled or upcycled.

Candle jar labels that are Made in the USA.

Made in the USA, water-soluble, non-toxic glue (used for adhering the pennies and wicks to the jars).

We use the following when shipping your items:

Shipping boxes that are Made in the USA.

100% biodegradable, recycled Kraft paper that is Made in the USA.

Biodegradable packaging peanuts (put one under a facet of running water and watch what happens!) that are Made in the USA.

Eco-friendly, recyclable, water-based adhesive packing tape that is Made in the USA.

Recycled shipping, moving and packing supplies.

Please re-use our jars after the candle is finished.  The wax can be removed by placing in a 225º oven to melt the wax and emptying into a disposable take-out container.  The penny will come out by placing a table knife underneath the penny - it should just pop out. 

Wash the jar and reuse:

Hold cotton balls and Q-Tips.

Pen holder.

Use for small condiment packages.

Plant succulents in them.

Use for plant clippings.
