FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SOY CANDLE?
Trimming the wick to 1/4 of an inch before each lighting of the candle is the most important thing you can do to prolong the life of your candle. Do this before each use.
HOW DO YOU MAKE MY CANDLE LAST AS LONG AS POSSIBLE?
The first burn is the most important.
Make sure the wick is trimmed to 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch before lighting.
The first time you light your new candle, please make sure you have 3-4 hours to be able to enjoy your scent. This creates a "memory burn" by letting the wax melt all the way to the edges of the candle. This will allow for the best burn every time. This will also allow the candle to burn clean and completely down the sides of the jar each time you light it (no wasted wax!).
When ready to light your candle again, trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch before relighting. Trim off any "mushrooming" or excess soot from the wick before relighting.
Do not leave burning candles unattended, near anything flammable, or within reach of children / pets.
Discontinue use when you reach the last 1/2 of inch of wax at the bottom of your vessel.
Each candle has an estimated burn time of 40-45 hours if you follow these steps.

WHAT MAKES OUR CANDLES UNIQUE?
Our candles are poured with love and totally hand-made. We pour the wax in individual pitchers that allow us to make 8 candles at a time.
All the jars are hand-wicked (notice the penny anchoring the wick?).
We apply each label by hand and write the scent name on each jar.
We try to source from the USA whenever possible (all of our wax is grown in the Midwest and the jars are made in the USA).
We use biodegradable packing peanuts and recycled Kraft paper when shipping our products.
You may notice slight surface imperfections in the candles. This is a result of being handmade. We don't considered these flaws - it just tells you that the candles were made by hand, with love. As my Aunt told me when I took up crocheting last year and I was worried that my baby blankets weren't "perfect": "Machines make perfect. Imperfections mean there is love woven into your work." This is also true with our candles.
WHAT IS THE FLOWER ON YOUR BRANDING?
The flower is a soy flower. We wanted something simple for our logo that also tied into our respect of our natural resources and the farmers that grow the soybeans that are used to make the wax for our candles.
